Questions about Management Consulting and the Business Improvement Process
How does Management Consulting work?
Consultants bring both objectivity and a wealth of experience to your project. They combine these to assess the current situation of your business based on facts and critical relationships, and point the way to the improvements that are needed. With your agreement, your consultant will assist you to implement the needed improvements and reach your business goals.
Does Management Consulting justify its cost?
Some consulting jobs are turnarounds and are justified by their help in keeping the business in operation. Consulting work to improve operations or reduce cost can pay for itself in a year or less, depending on the size and activity of the operation.
What happens when the work is complete and the engagement is over?
Once a client, always a client. When the agreed upon work is complete, the consultant remains available for discussion of what has been done and how to keep it working effectively. When adjustments are needed, the consultant is already familiar with the work and can be effective immediately.
